Positive:
The house cheese dip, guacamole & salsa were tasty. Some of the staff were very good.
Negative:
I'll never stray from Abuelos again. 3 of us wanted to like Jose Peppers,but to know avail. All 3 different entrees were disgusting. 2 entrees weren't edible. 1 was hard to know what it was even though Spinach enchiladas were ordered. The burrito plate had dog food like grade meat (and I have dogs) Makes Taco Bells meat look prime. The mex. stuffed Pepper plater was like trying to chew a leather shrub with twigs. Jose Peppers even blew it on a pepper dish! Very sad.
The place is also flat out dirty, and the menus are filthy to touch. Chips had a light texture, but theres a leftover taste indicating that their grease was going rancid. Hey I have huge respect for the restaurant field, and worked many a place in yrs past. We went on a Tues. nite so not too busy. It was a bummer cause who doesn't love good Mexican food? They could do better. I'm going back to great Mex at Abuelos. |
