NEW 'NO PUBLIC FISHING' SIGNS WORKING
Posted on Sep 13th, 2012
The old "Private Lake Area" signs (photo, left side) weren't working. They were intended to keep non-Lakepoint residents from fishing in our private lakes. Not only were large numbers of outsiders fishing the lakes, they were often leaving piles of trash behind them. After numerous complaints, the Master HOA recently installed four new "No Public Fishing" signs (photo, right side) and they are doing their job!Just to clarify the sign's wording: "Public" refers to people who DO NOT live in Lakepoint. "Private Lake" explains that the lakes are private and ONLY for use by Lakepoint residents.
Some residents have seen non-residents lugging their gear towards the lake and then, turning around when they see the sign. The signs were placed strategically throughout Lakepoint to catch the most popular fishing holes.
