LAKEPOINT HOA DUES TO INCREASE

The Lakepoint HOA Master Board voted unanimously to raise the Lakepoint HOA fees by $15 per quarter. This increases your dues to $190 per quarter – up from $175. This is an 8.5 percent increase that the board deemed necessary because of a budget shortfall caused by several factors:
- Aging infrastructure
- Aging landscaping
- Extremely high water bills ($41,000) after the hottest summer on record
- Pine wilt (tree removal and replacement)
The dues increase will be effective beginning January 1, 2012. This increase is within the Master Board’s authority since it is less than the 10% limit allowed for the Master Board to raise dues without a vote by all residents. Your Lakepoint HOA Master Board works hard to keep expenses down and this is the first increase in five years!
