TRUCK WIPES OUT LIGHT POLE NEAR TURTLE POND
Posted on Aug 7th, 2014

If a light pole hadn't stopped the white, flat-bed truck speeding through Lakepoint, Turtle Pond would have. The light pole and light fixture is demolished and even the base of the pole, set in concrete, was thrown several feet from where it was installed. The truck also side-swiped three trees, breaking off some limbs, before it hit the pole. Fortunately, there were no pedestrians in the area at the time, even though many people are walking at that time of the evening. Even irrigation lines were damaged. The driver of the truck was OK. His insurance will cover repairs and replacements.
