GUIDELINES FOR HOME AND GARAGE SALE SIGNS

The basic rule: All signs placed on common property in Lakepoint are not allowed per city ordinance. This means:
- No garage sale signs,
- No realtor signs,
- No "For sale by homewner" signs and
- No event signs.
Exceptions to the rule:
Garage sale signs may be placed in common areas on the date of the sale. They must be removed at the end of the day. If your sale runs multiple days, you must place and remove the signs each day.
Realtor Open House signs may be placed on common area on the day of the open house. They must be removed at the close of the open house.
If you see a sign that violates these guidelines, you should call the city at (316) 268-4013 (Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm) to arrange for removal of the sign. You can also call the realtor or the homeowner about "Home for Sale" signs and ask them to remove their signs.
