March roared in like a lion, leaving slippery roads in Lakepoint, as one driver discovered Monday morning as she slid past the the Cypress/Gatewood intersection straight into Turtle Pond.  Her minivan jumped the sidewalk, plowed through the iron fence and almost ended up in the lake. Fortunately, no one was injured.

 

If you are out walking, please be careful around this area, since part of the fence is down. A protective fence will be put up as soon as possible and will guard the area until a permanent repair can be made.

 

And -- until winter finally decides to give up, drive carefully!
