KSU EXTENSION OFFERS LAWN CARE, EFFICIENT WATERING CLASSES

Remember last year's high water bills, weeds, and brown spots? A series of upcoming classes at Sedgwick County Extension will help homeowners struggling with their lawns learn strategies to grow great grass, get rid of problems, and understand best watering practices.The entire series costs $5. Participants may attend as many or as few of the classes as desired. Register online at http://lawnwaterclassks.eventbrite.com or call 316-660-0100. Registration deadline is March 29. Sponsored by K-State Research & Extension – Sedgwick County and the City of Wichita, WATER Center.
All classes will be held in the Sedgwick County Extension Center Sunflower Room from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center, 7001 W 21st N, Wichita, KS.
April 2 - Basic Lawn Care
Learn the basics of lawn care and how to have a green lawn with minimum inputs.
April 9 - Lawn Problems
This class will troubleshoot common Kansas lawn problems: weeds, insects, diseases, and
other problems.
April 16 – Efficient Lawn Watering
This class will cover knowing how much water your lawn needs, when to water, and how to
water during heat and drought.
