Eight Lakepoint residents have already pledged a significant amount of money in the "Light Up Lakepoint" fundraiser to pay for new "glass" panels for Lakepoint entrance lanterns. In addition, Gerald located a new price for the panels, cutting the total cost by more than half! The original per-panel cost was $36. The new price per panel is $13.41 with tax.

 

The polycarbonate panels on the lanterns topping the entrance brick walls on Central and 13th Street entrances are yellowed, cracked and, sometimes, missing. Because these lanterns light up the "foyers" to Lakepoint and because the Lakepoint Master HOA's budget is so tight, there are no funds to replace the panels, Gerald Morton has volunteered to initiate a board-approved fundraiser to to offset the costs.
