LAKEPOINT STRIKES WATER IN NEW WELL

Drilling for water near the Woodland estates entrance late this summer was highly successful.  This commercial water well has ample water to irrigate six of the 24 water zones in Lakepoint. That is about one-fourth of the total irrigation system!
 
The final cost of the well is projected to be $23,000. This will reduce our water bill by 25 percent; from about $46,000 per year, (projected for 2011 year end), to $33,000 per year.  This is about a $13,000 savings which means the payback time will only be about two years.  The Board is considering drilling more wells, gradually moving north, to further reduce the water bill.
