BOARD SUMMARIZIES LAKEPOINT BUDGET
Posted on Nov 7th, 2011
The 2012 Budget projects that:
- Homeowner dues will be increased by $15 from $175 to $190 per quarter, beginning at the first of the year. Dues have not been raised for some time. For example, Lakepoint’s dues were $125 per quarter in 1997 and have increased to $190 per quarter for 2012.
- The 2012 budget will be $238,000 with the dues increase. The 2011 revenue is projected to be $236,012, but it included about $13,000 from collection of delinquent HOA dues. It is not anticipated that 2012 will have such a large amount of past dues collections, since most of the larger delinquencies were collected this year.
- Water usage is projected to be $30,000, down from about $43,000, with the new commercial well.
- Dead trees, pine wilt, irrigation system maintenance, lighting and electrical repairs will remain a challenge as our infrastructure ages.
- The Operating Cash Reserve will be less than $40,000.
